Why we started

Most roofing companies sell roofs. They show up when something is leaking, quote a repair or a replacement, do the work, and leave until the next problem. That model works for the roofer. It works poorly for a condominium or HOA board that has to plan reserves, pass a reserve study, survive an insurance renewal, and document its decisions for owners.

Egret Roofing was founded to serve that board directly. Instead of waiting for failures, we put roofs on a maintenance and documentation calendar, grade their condition every year, and hand the board a report it can actually use — for reserves, for insurance, and for capital planning. The roofing work is the same high standard you would expect from any good contractor. The difference is everything that comes with it.

Our philosophy: roofs as managed assets

A roof has a measurable condition, a remaining useful life, a warranty, and a replacement cost. In other words, it behaves exactly like the assets a reserve study already tracks — it has just historically been managed by crisis rather than by plan. We treat every roof we cover as a line item to be monitored, maintained, documented, and eventually replaced on a schedule the board controls. That is what the Roof Asset Management Program is: asset management applied to roofing.

Licensing and credentials

Egret Roofing & Maintenance is led by a founder who holds a Florida Certified General Contractor license and a Florida Certified Roofing Contractor license — the two state credentials that authorize both full building work and roofing work across Florida. That combination matters on association projects, where roofing intersects with structural components, decking, and building envelope details that a roofing-only contractor may not be licensed to address.

Where we are

We are based in Fernandina Beach and serve Northeast Florida — Amelia Island, Yulee, all of Nassau County, and greater Jacksonville and Duval County. An honest note on where we are as a company

We believe in the same transparency we ask boards to keep. Egret Roofing & Maintenance is a newly forming company: our entity formation and license issuance are in progress, which is why you'll see license numbers shown as placeholders on this site until they are official. What is not new is the standard we hold ourselves to or the experience behind the work. We would rather tell you exactly where we stand than pad the record with claims we can't back up.
